with all those events during october and november how could i not make my own cards.  i was a bit time poor sometimes so thankfully i had a few cards already made and on hand (courtesy of scrapbook capital challenges).

goodness me! i did not realise it had that been long since i last posted!  apologies – it’s been a crazy time.  silly season indeed!  let me paint a chronological picture of what’s been going on. [ the scrapbook capital retreat will be in a separate post.]

met baby_boy dylan alexander for the first time.  it was great to spend the afternoon with friends.

cousin sam’s birthday.

my friend michelle’s birthday – blowing out the candles with a little help from her gorgeous kids.

then it was time for miss rose to blow out the candles on her own cake.  [rose's birthday falls one day after her mum's.]

cousins sophie and angie celebrated their birthdays together (sophie’s birthday falls the day before angie’s.)

went to the 2009 craft & quilt fair with my mum.  it was a last minute decision – mum wanted to go so i tagged along.

cousin angela’s baby shower – the theme was ‘high tea party’.

cousin teresa’s 40th birthday.

my friend karyn’s 40th birthday.

mon sep 21 (not on weekend i know but close enuff) – my brother tony’s birthday.  mum has started something now – when there’s a family birthday, birthday dinner will be – ravioli, schnitzel and salad – without fail.  with  cake.

scrapbook capital is having their monthly cyber_crop this weekend.  there are 3 challenges.  good luck to those that decide to have a go!

challenge 1 – only use lime and lavender on your layout or card …

layout features my brother and his girlfriend.  this was an interesting challenge.  i didnt have a lot of embellishments in those colours.  the title is chipboard painted with lime kaisercraft paint.  i did have versa colour ink so i stamped a butterfly and used a stampin up ‘eastern bloom’ stamp.  the heart is made out of felt.  the prima flower (although it doesnt look like it) is lavender coloured.

{ the photo is of me and my cousin teresa from 2002 when we were in london.  this was the night when harrods had their fireworks to mark the beginning of the christmas season.  the fireworks lasted 15 minutes.  harrods had their christmas lights switched on by the producers of ‘die another day’ (james bond movie) }

third challenge – elements challenge
